WordPress, CSS & Dreamweaver dilemma!

Coffeeee pleaseeee…..! Have to stay awake, ahwaaa…. Mmmm...

Adobedreamw

My eyes are getting tired and haven't got any decent  sleep trying how the codes work. I've been working long hours to figure out how but still… no success. At times I'm about to give up but when I think of all the research and study and time that I already put into it, quitting is not an option in this case.  It's easy for me designing websites but translating it to CSS without anyone to help makes my eyes sore and backaches. I know that I'm gonna make it, just need to familiarize my self with the script.

I remember when I'm  discovering how Photoshop works, I had a hard time too. I know what I want to happen but I haven't got a clue how to execute it using the program. It just needed a  person to show me the basics on how ticks. And indeed, I met one who enlighten me in discovering the potential of Photoshop.

I'm facing the same dilemma. But this time, not just one program but three. WordPress, Dreamweaver 8 and CSS. Just relying on my IQ makes my nose bleed (hehehe…). Need a savior who will show me the way to enlightenment.

Whoever  you are, hurry up. My butt hurts…

More Coffeeee!

10 Great Ways to Generate Income Online

So you want to ditch your corporate cubicle and join the ranks of web workers? But you have a mortgage, maybe a dependent or two, and a taste for Venti Mochas from Starbucks? You can make money in the new economy, though it might not be as easy or cushy as keeping your old economy job.I’m not talking about advertising or affiliate marketing or selling your junk on eBay. Those are so last millennium! I’m talking about the new new economy.

1. Offer your professional expertise in an online marketplace. These days, you can do more than just sell your old books via Amazon and your old Coach handbags via eBay—now you can sell your professional capabilities in a marketplace. No longer are you limited to looking for a permanent or contract job on Web 1.0 style job sites like Monster or CareerBuilder. The new breed of freelancing and project-oriented sites let companies needing help describe their projects. Then freelancers and small businesses offer bids or ideas or proposals from which those buyers can choose.

Elance covers everything from programming and writing to consulting and design, while RentACoder focuses on software, natch. If you’re a graphic designer, check out options like Design Outpost or LogoWorks–you don’t have to find the customers, they’ll come to you. Wannabe industry analysts might sign up for TechDirt’s Insight Community, a marketplace for ideas about technology marketing.

2. Sell photos on stock photography sites. If people regularly oooo and aaaaah over your Flickr pics, maybe you’re destined for photographic greatness or maybe just for a few extra dollars. It’s easier than ever to get your photos out in front of the public, which of course means a tremendous amount of competition, but also means it might be an convenient way for you to build up a secondary income stream. Where can you upload and market your photos? Try Fotolia, Dreamstime, Shutterstock, and Big Stock Photo.

3. Blog for pay. Despite the explosion of blogs, it’s hard to find good writers who can turn around a solidly-written post on an interesting topic quickly. GigaOM is always looking for bloggers with great content ideas and solid writing skills. How do you get noticed? Comment and link to blogging network sites. Write blog posts that are polished and not overly personal (although showing some personality is a plus).

4. Or start your own blog network. If you like the business side of things–selling advertising, hiring and managing employees, attracting investors–and have the stomach to go up against the likes of Weblogs, Inc., GigaOmniMedia, b5media, maybe you should make an entire business out of blogs. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you’ll get a lot of time to write yourself though.

5. Provide service and support for open source software. Just because the software is free doesn’t mean you can’t make money on it–just ask Red Hat, a well-known distributor of Linux that sports a market cap of more than four billion dollars. As a solo web worker, you might not want to jump in and compete with big companies offering Linux support, but how about offering support for web content management systems like WordPress or Drupal? After getting comfortable with your own installation, you can pretty easily jump into helping other people set them up and configure them.

6. Online life coaching. Who has time to go meet a personal coach at an office? And don’t the new generation of web workers need to be met by their coaches in the same way that they work: via email, IM, and VoIP? You could, of course, go through some life coaching certification program, but on the web, reputation is more important than credentials. I bet Tony Robbins isn’t certified as a life coach–and no one can argue with his success. For an example of someone building up their profile and business online as a coach, check out Pamela Slim of Ganas Consulting and the Escape from Cubicle Nation blog.

7. Virtually assist other web workers. Freelancers and small businesses desperately need help running their businesses, but they’re not about to hire a secretary to come sit in the family room and answer phone calls. As a virtual assistant, you might do anything from making travel reservations to handling expense reimbursements to paying bills to arranging for a dog sitter. And you do it all from your own home office, interacting with your clients online and by phone. You can make $20 and up an hour doing this sort of work, depending on your expertise.

8. Build services atop Amazon Web Services. Elastic computing on AWS is so cool… and so incredibly primitive right now. Did you know that you can’t even count on your virtual hard drive on EC2 to store your data permanently? That’s why people are making money right now by offering services on top of AWS. Make it easier for people to use Amazon’s scalability web infrastructure like Enomaly has with elasticlive, a scalable web hosting platform built on AWS.

9. Write reviews for pay or perks. If you blog for any length of time on a particular topic–parenting, mobile phones, or PCs, for example–you will likely be approached to do book or product reviews. You can get free stuff this way, but are you selling your soul? Is there any such thing as a free laptop? These are decisions you’ll have to make for yourself, because no one agrees upon what ethical rules apply to bloggers. Even less do people agree on services like PayPerPost that pay you to write reviews on your blog. Check out disclosure rules closely and see whether such a gig would meet your own personal standards or not.

10. Become a virtual gold farmer. A half million Chinese now earn income by acquiring and selling World of Warcraft gold to gamers in other countries. If you’re not a young person living in China, this probably isn’t a viable option for you. But what’s intriguing about it is the opportunity to make real money working in a virtual economy. People are making real-world money in Second Life too.

Earn money from relevant ads on your website

Google AdSense is the program that can give you advertising revenue from each page on your website—with a minimal investment in time and no additional resources.

AdSense delivers relevant text and image ads that are precisely targeted to your site and your site content. And when you add a Google search box to your site, AdSense delivers relevant text ads that are targeted to the Google search results pages generated by your visitors’ search request.

You can maximize your revenue potential by displaying Google ads on your website. Google puts relevant CPC (cost-per-click) and CPM (cost per thousand impressions) ads through the same auction, and lets them compete against one another. The auction takes place instantaneously, and, when it’s over, AdSense automatically displays the text or image ad(s) that will generate the maximum revenue for a page — and the maximum revenue for you.

Becoming an AdSense publisher is simple. All it takes is a single online application. Once you’re approved, AdSense takes only minutes to set-up. Just copy and paste a block of HTML and targeted ads start showing up on your website.

Walking On Water

Walking_on_water_010408 Is there an incident in you're life that you finally enjoy your current situation then God comes in and gives you a new direction or assignment? Have you ever said to yourself, “Did I really hear God right?”

Imagine yourself called to travel a road that is unfamiliar and when you look ahead, you can’t see really far because it’s dark and the road is unclear. But you definitely know you were told to go into that direction yet something in you feels uncertain.

You know He called you to walk on water but what’s next? Questions begin to flood your mind like, what if I sink or what if things don’t go as I expected? Fear grips your heart when you don’t know what will happen next. Fear of the unknown…

What do you do? How would you respond?

It took more than 7 years to prepare me for this situation. It’s the time that all is going well and life is comfortable then, Jesus came. As I saw Him, something in my heart is being stirred up, a strong desire to walk on water. When I resisted this desire, the boat that I’m in began to rock.

A similar situation happened to Peter. He saw Jesus walking on water and a desire in him to walk on water was expressed as Peter asked Jesus to call him to do so. Then Jesus told him to come. He got out of the boat and walked on water.

As I looked into the story and reflected, a question rose up. Did Peter really walk on water? Then it dawn on me that Peter really didn’t walk on water. Peter walk on His Word.

Even thou a desire rose up in him, Peter waited on Jesus’ instruction on the matter. At that moment, Peter never pursed his gut feeling or desires. Anything you pursue alone will fail. Then Jesus instructed Peter to do so and walk upon hearing His instruction, His Word. His Word is so stable and sure that when you start walking upon His Word, everything becomes possible.

As you continue reading the account of Peter, you can see that he sank. Even when we're called, we would fail and make wrong decisions at some point. The good thing about the story is God’s Hand showing up to take you up and continue in accomplishing the task that He has set you to do.

It’s better to go through tough times knowing and being assured that you have a word to hold on to and you heard God speak rather than going through a lot of troubles without a sure word to hang on to in uncertain times of your journey. In every situation you’re in, God’s word will make the difference if you’ll be able to arrive to your destination or finish your assignment. Never attempt something that the Holy Spirit did not instruct you to do.

Believe even in the darkest moments of your life what you heard from God when you were in the light.

When you hear God’s instruction on your life, the only option is to believe and obey.

Super_big_faith Being a water walker for the Lord will enable you to do exploits and greater things accomplished in the Kingdom of God. As for me, I chose to walk on water which is walking on God’s Word alone.

If you want to walk on water, get out of the boat.

The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine.

Daily_routine_3

“And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: AND, AS HIS CUSTOM WAS, he entered the synagogue on the Sabbath, and stood to read” (Luke 4:16).

In the church world, we are so miracle oriented that we have no understanding of routine.

In fact, we think that routine is tradition and tradition is deadly.

There’s something that you’re doing daily is creating greatness or failure.

If you fail with your life, if you do, I can trace it with something that occurred daily, in your mind, in your family, in your house.   Every person who ever failed can be traced to something that occurred habitually.  Cause nothing can ever dominate your life unless it occurs daily.

Jesus stayed busy. He traveled. He prayed for the sick. He taught and ministered. He supervised His disciples. He spoke to large crowds.

However, He had an important custom and habit. “And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: AND, AS HIS CUSTOM WAS, he entered the synagogue on the Sabbath, and stood to read” (Luke 4:16).

Jesus as was his custom went into the synagogue, Zechariah as was his custom offered sacrifice, David prayed seven times a day (Psalm 119:164), Daniel prayed three times a day (Dan.6:10)… something you are doing daily is creating a miracle in your future. Something you are doing daily is creating a disaster in your life.

Something I did daily created this waistline. Something I do daily will remove it. My God won’t take care of your body and you’ll notice that He hasn’t. (Look at somebody next to you and say, “You’re body needs several miracles.”)

2 things did not get save when you did. You’re MIND and your BODY.

Your mind needs to be renewed daily. It’s a magnet for depression, fear, unbelief, lust and every conceivable problem. Your mind is a collector of events and memories and you replay them to experience an emotion. Your mind has to be cleansed, purge and purified. If you will ask me what’s the most important habit in my life is reading God’s word & exercise. I don’t think that you can have a great life unless you have a pure life, I don’t think you can have a pure life unless you have a pure mind. I don’t think you can have a pure mind unless you wash it daily with the WORD.

The secret of my mind is hidden in my daily routine.

The secret of my marriage, prosperity, my life, future is hidden, hidden in something that I’m doing daily.

I studied the life of uncommon achievers, without exception, they do things daily that losers do occasionally.

The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine, if you fail; it’s because of something your doing daily.

Achievers do daily what losers do occasionally. What you do daily is the real you. What you do occasionally is the potential you.

Habit will take you further than desire. Great men simply have great habits. Habit is a gift from God. It simply means anything you do twice becomes easier. It is the Creators key in helping you succeed.

DAILY HABITS

Decide to hear God’s word first thing in the morning. You must hear what He says. You must hear what God says before you hear what anybody says. To me, the master secret of life is the word of God. Fuel your passion for the word. Get into the word. We know that our only problem is ignorance. The only cure is the word (wisdom).

What's a blog?

"Huh, What?"

A blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world.

Your blog is whatever you want it to be. There are millions of them, in all shapes and sizes, and there are no real rules.

In simple terms, a blog is a web site, where you write stuff on an ongoing basis. New stuff shows up at the top, so your visitors can read what's new. Then they comment on it or link to it or email you. Or not.

Since Blogger was launched in 1999, blogs have reshaped the web, impacted politics, shaken up journalism, and enabled millions of people to have a voice and connect with others.

And we're pretty sure the whole deal is just getting started.

A blog gives you your own voice on the web. It's a place to collect and share things that you find interesting— whether it's your political commentary, a personal diary, or links to web sites you want to remember.

Many people use a blog just to organize their own thoughts, while others command influential, worldwide audiences of thousands. Professional and amateur journalists use blogs to publish breaking news, while personal journalers reveal inner thoughts.

Whatever you have to say, Blogs can help you say it.

Blogging is about more than just putting your thoughts on the web. It's about connecting with and hearing from anyone who reads your work and cares to respond. With Blogs, you control who can read and write to your blog — let just a few friends or the entire world see what you have to say!

What’s On Your Mind?

Beliefs are so powerful that it controls our decisions, actions and our life, “Whatever a man thinketh so is he.”

Researchers has shown that one’s thought life influences every aspects of one’s being, whether we are filled with confidence or fear depends on the kind of thoughts that habitually occupies our mind.

Blog_001_1 What your mind is constantly expose to, attend to, and dwell on eventually comes out in how you feel and what you do.

I was attending psych 101 at Trinity college years ago when my professor let out the statement, “you cannot control your emotions, but you can control your thoughts.” At that moment, it suddenly gave me an understanding how powerful thoughts can be. You become it, and I discovered that your thoughts greatly influence how you feel (when I learned this, it was in the context of my pasaway na love life, nakakaloka talaga, grabe…). That’s why my kingdoms constitution declares in Romans 12:2 states “…be transform by the renewing of your mind…” To paraphrase it, “Change your mind and you will change your world.”

The way you act, speak, think, respond, react, do things, and the way you make decisions and where your confidence comes from, stems on what I called “Beliefs”.

As an ambassador, I now represent the mind or beliefs of the King (that’s why a democratic mind will have a hard time understanding kingdom mentality. So, what kind of mind do you have?). Good ambassadors never speak their personal opinions, but only the official policies of the government that appointed them. In Second Corinthians 5:20, Paul writes, “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.” As ambassadors of heaven, we represent our Father’s Kingdom on earth. His beliefs becomes my beliefs, His position becomes my position (of course this is another topic so I have to end here. I’m getting ahead. I’ll be discussing the mind & beliefs of an ambassador on another time & topic).

Someday, all these things that I’m talking about will be clear to you. Just tune in to my blog, hehehe…

Remember: Your life depends on where your mind stays, so be careful of what you believe.

Why COLONIA?

You may ask why Colonia?

I am an Ambassador of my colony chosen by a Kingdom to represent my Home Country (Some of you may ask, what country or kingdom I'm talking about, hehehe... Don't rush, you'll soon find out in the days to come. So tune in to this Blog!).

To start with, let me explain...

A colony is comprised of "a group of emigrants or their descendants who settle in a distant land but remain subject to the parent country." The word colony comes from the Latin word colonia, derived from colere, meaning "to cultivate." In this sense, a colony is:

  • The presence of a distinct cultural citizenry in foreign territory that is governed by the laws and customs of its home country.
  • Established to influence the territory for the home government.

This means that a colony's purpose was essentially to:

  1. be an extention of the home country in another territory.
  2. establishh a prototype of the original country in another territory.
  3. represent the values, morals, and manners of the home country.
  4. manifest the culture and lifestyle of the original nation

Now you know why Colonia Concepts. In the comming days, I will be sharing to you concepts, principles and charateristics of the Kindom I represent (I beginning to sound like a crazy cult, hehehe... but don't worry, I'm not...  Dapat Henyo ka para maintindihan mo ko! har,har,har...) I'll be writting things to help you learn to think and act like a Kindom resident and ruler - the person God intended you to be (o ayan ha, meron ka nag clue para hindi ka mag mukhang mangmang, hehehe...).

This is what my blog is all about

See you soon!
